Photography showcases the vibrant people and spirit of Te Matapihi ki te Ao Nui Central Library as a central gathering place for all. We showcase the diversity of our community in the images we take and use.
We actively take and select images with a representative mix of ages, ethnicities, genders, urban and non-urban environments. We seek to elevate and celebrate te ao Māori.

Cropping images
Be conscious of how the image is supporting your core message. Cropping imagery is a fine art and lots of the photography has been generated with a core focal point in mind and lots of lovely clear space for you to choose an appropriate application. Be mindful – who is the audience and how are they receiving the image? Have you left enough clear space for every device?
